Golf Clinic for Beginners
February 27 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until April 10, 2022
Golf is a great sport for people of all ages, body types and experience levels but it can be intimidating to get started. Join us this winter and spring for a beginners golf clinic brought to you by the Culture Building Institute, a non-profit affiliate of Mays & Associates, Ltd.
The clinic will be taught by Emily Kizer, a M&A Associate and former Toledo Rocket golfer. Emily has been golfing for more than 15 years and loves sharing her knowledge with newcomers to the game. While not a professional golf instructor, Emily can offer participants an introduction to the game and an overview of the basics in a fun, friendly, positive environment.
This class includes 6 in-person sessions and 1 virtual session.
Sessions will be held on Sundays from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at Quarry Ridge Golf Course (6081 Clark Rd, Ottawa Lake, MI 49267). Quarry Ridge has one of the best heated golf ranges in the area which will allow us to be comfortable in nearly every weather condition.
Dates: February 27 (virtual kick-off session on Zoom), March 6, March 13, March 20, March 27, April 3, April 10
Throughout the course, we will cover the following topics:
Putting and chipping
Hitting drivers, woods, irons
How to actually play a hole of golf
Rules of golf, etiquette, tips for playing in work events
The class is limited to 10 participants. More information will be provided on recommended clothing and equipment during the introductory virtual session on February 27.
