Tell us about yourself! What makes you, “you”?

I’m a wife and a mother of two daughters. I love all things animals and will rescue them when in need. My passion is my business. I absolutely love being involved with helping create events!

Describe your business/services and then tell us about what brought you to creating this business and why you’re passionate about it.

My business can provide rental services for any event. We have table and chair linens, backdrops, ceiling draping and lighting, and floral trees. We are also one of the only linen company in the area that takes the time to steam and iron our linens on site leaving them without insightly fold lines or creases. I have always known I wanted to be apart of events or decorate in some aspect my whole life, so when I was laid off from my 9 to 5 job, I was able to take the opportunity to start this company and focus on what truly made me happy.

What goals do you have for your business in the future?

My goals are to always keep learning and to keep growing. I have several things I want to add to my rental line when the time is right.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner and how did you overcome it?

As a business owner, there are several challenges that you face almost daily so it’s really hard to pinpoint one specific challenge. What I can say is, the people that this business has placed in my life are the ones who understand and help me through my challenges. It’s so important to have friends and good relationships with our similar businesses that can lend a helping hand or give helpful advice because they understand the situation.

What advice would you give to a woman looking to start a business or get into a leadership role? Is there one thing that has helped you specifically?

Don’t try to make everyone happy. Not everyone is going to appreciate you or even be willing to acknowledge you. Appreciate the ones that are there for you and helping you make your business grow.

What made you want to join HerHub?

I’ve been wanting to try new things and reach out to new people. Get more involved.

Why do you feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women?

We should always be empowering ourselves and other women. Life is hard and we need each other to lift ourselves up and to lend a hand. I’m not one to “compete” because there is enough business for us all.

If you could recommend one resource (book, podcast, quote, class, website, etc.), that has helped you in life or in business, what would it be and why?

I do self teach but I also took some classes to get certified in my field through IWED.

We love spreading love to other woman-owned businesses and we bet you do too.  Give a shout out here to your favorite, local, woman-owned business (besides your own)!
