Tell us about yourself! What makes you, “you”?

I am a multi-passionate entrepreneur that is passionate about being a light in this world. I have a mission of doing courageous for myself and others. I love shopping, eating, traveling, deep conversations about life and ultimately experiencing everything this world has to offer. I love life.

Describe your business/services and then tell us about what brought you to creating this business and why you’re passionate about it.

I empower women to rediscover their badass, confident, sexy selves through a powerful coaching partnership. I created this business because of what I realized I loved about being a ballroom dance instructor. I know what you’re thinking….how? Well, I was a full time ballroom professional before the pandemic hit and I absolutely loved my career. But for a period of time I couldn’t do it. So I asked myself “what did I love about it so much?” And what was exposed to me was that I loved how I helped my clients off the dance floor. This then took me into a place of discovery into how I could continue to help people at home in front of a computer. This is where becoming an empowerment life coach was born.

What goals do you have for your business in the future?

For 2022, my mission is to build my client base and help women step into their power. I also have plans to launch my online course “8 ways to unleash your inner badass”. Eventually I see a community of badass women and hosting “Unleash your Inner Badass” retreats.

What is your proudest achievement?

Starting my own ballroom business not knowing what the hell I was getting into. Then 8 years later having amazing clients, a supportive community and a place where people wanted to be.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner and how did you overcome it?

Our studio lost our only male instructor and knowing that more women want to learn to dance than men we had to pivot our strategy. We reached out to other dance professional for help and they shifted our focus. So, instead of finding a new male instructor we then focused on our male students. We up leveled them by giving them more instruction, free classes, etc. to then attract our ladies. At one point in our studio we had more male students then women and that’s really rare in our industry.

What advice would you give to a woman looking to start a business or get into a leadership role? Is there one thing that has helped you specifically?

Surround yourself with like minded individuals and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What made you want to join HerHub?

I am new to the area. So I think it’s important to find a community and to get to know your neighbors. I need the energy and the brain power.

Do you feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women?

no question…definitely.

If you could recommend one resource (book, podcast, quote, class, website, etc.), that has helped you in life or in business, what would it be and why?

Anything Tony Robbins related. His events especially changed my life, Unleash the power within and Date with Destiny.

We love spreading love to other woman-owned businesses and we bet you do too. Give a shout out here to your favorite, local, woman-owned business (besides your own)!
