Tell us about yourself! What makes you, “you”?
LOL what a loaded question. I’m a type A, Gemini sun sign, number 8 enneagram and Manifesting generator 3/5 Great Life Experimenter. Oh and 4/5 top strengths are Strategic Thinker.
Describe your business/services and then tell us about what brought you to creating this business and why you’re passionate about it.
I offer a simplified version on how to take back your own health by implementing small changes into your daily routines to eliminate toxic overload. I have sensitive skin that started to have more issues when I began a job in a fiberglass factory. I started to ache all over. So bad that drying off with a towel hurt. This led me to ingredients in my lotion, which led me to toxicity levels in everyday products, then came essential oils and the rest is history. I spiraled out of control and was extremely angry at what we don’t know about the products we’re being enticed to purchase.
What goals do you have for your business in the future?
My goal is always to shed light on the fact that non-toxic product CAN be affordable and we CAN trust certain companies. I may prefer certain ones but I’m also not shy to tell people other places they can go if they aren’t quite ready to make a full commitment to the crunchy life.
What is your proudest achievement?
Raising a daughter who, as a young adult, is much farther ahead in life than I was at her age.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner and how did you overcome it?
2020. I’m overcoming it now by having a re-boot of my business.
What advice would you give to a woman looking to start a business or get into a leadership role? Is there one thing that has helped you specifically?
I’m a type A Strategic Thinker so I plan things, think about them, get my ducks in a row and then go for it. It doesn’t have to all be perfect but having a good grasp on what to expect (which is the unexpected!!) will take you far.
What made you want to join HerHub?
I need to be more involved. Being around like-minded individuals with the same energy gets me geeked. We all earn from every experience and I needed more of those in my life.
Why do you feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women?
If we aren’t working together and raising each other up then we’re on a lonely road all grumpy and negative. Who REALLY wants that?
If you could recommend one resource (book, podcast, quote, class, website, etc.), that has helped you in life or in business, what would it be and why?
I’d say whatever your passion is. Whatever makes your heart happy, find all the podcast and books and websites on that subject and have at it. There isn’t one of any that really says “yes, this was it” for me. It was a collective of many. My favorite quotes:
“Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today”
-James Dean
“Everyone and everything is interconnected in this universe. Stay pure of heart and you will see the signs. Follow the signs, and you will uncover your destiny.”
-Jeff, Who Lives at Home
