Through many life challenges (think confidence issues, domestic violence and more), Natasha has persevered and built a successful business. She is passionate about helping people in her community, not only with their insurance needs, but making them feel better about themselves overall.

We encourage you to keep reading about her story and how she has been shaped through her challenges, but has ultimately come out successful and stronger for it! (She also has an impressive list of other female business owners that she gives shout outs too at the end, don’t miss that!)

Tell us about yourself! What makes you, “you”?

I wear many hats from daughter, wife, mom, coach, trainer… the list goes on.

Describe your business/services and then tell us about what brought you to creating this business and why you’re passionate about it.

I am a licensed insurance agent with RBI Insurance. I have been with the agency 6 years & have been a licensed agent for 21 years. I am also a certified personal trainer and created The Strength Space to help women with their fitness journeys. My passion is empowerment! I love connecting with people and empowering them with knowledge in their insurance policies or health journeys. I have had quite a journey myself from being a teen mom, domestic violence survivor, weight and confidence issues, and the list goes on. Confidence, self-esteem, and finding strength has always been challenging for me so in turn I am very passionate in helping women feel empowered, you could say it makes my soul happy.

What goals do you have for your business in the future?

My main goal is to connect with as many women as I can. My objective isn’t just selling policies or training sessions. My objective is being your resource, giving you the power to make informed decisions about YOUR journey and helping you find the right fits. Be it chatting about deductibles or deadlifts all you have to do is show up, put in the time and I will get you to where you want to be with your insurance or fitness needs.

What is your proudest achievement?

Wow, that is a tough one! I would say my training certifications. To think back to where I starting as feeling broken, unconfident, scared, unworthy to evolve into a strong, proud, knowledgeable, passionate survivor gives me the most personal achievement.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner and how did you overcome it?

Juggling all the things LOL. It is challenging to be a full-time working mom and wife. However, when your “job” is something that you are passionate about it’s not a job anymore, it’s simply a way of life.

What advice would you give to a woman looking to start a business or get into a leadership role? Is there one thing that has helped you specifically?

Jump. Sometimes you just have to do it! Surround yourself with other knowledgeable individuals in your field and ask questions, learn all the things. Find your trusted sources be it friends or family that will give you the hard facts about yourself and keep you accountable. None of us can do it alone, none of us. We all need a support system, find yours and be vulnerable enough to accept it!

What made you want to join HerHub?

I was looking for networking opportunities and turns out the emotional impact I received was so much more than I ever expected.

Why do you feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women?

Strong women empower women and there are no words to describe what it feels like to “be at the table”, (as Nina says) with diverse women. There is so much to be gained when we come together!

If you could recommend one resource (book, podcast, quote, class, website, etc.), that has helped you in life or in business, what would it be and why?

I am currently reading Daring Greatly by Brene Brown it’s a great read if being vulnerable is a challenge for you.

We love spreading love to other woman-owned businesses and we bet you do too. Give a shout out here to your favorite, local, woman-owned business (besides your own)!
