Tell us about yourself! What makes you, “you”?
Wow that’s a thought-provoking question…. What makes me “me,” I have a passion for supporting people in integrating their pain/challenges to become more empowered. I love to connect with people and hearing what makes them who they are. I firmly believe in doing my own healing work because I can only take someone as far as I have gone myself.
Describe your business/services and then tell us about what brought you to creating this business and why you’re passionate about it.
My first business was created in 2019 WithUYoga, initially I was teaching yoga for 12 step recovery and then expanded to teach Grief Yoga. I am passionate about this business because in July 2018 I lost my brother Shawn to a drug overdose. Then in September 2018 my mom Jenny died by suicide. I have really had to take the time to process my grief and I know that I have so much love for both of them. I know my life has a purpose here and that is to hold a safe space for people to share openly without judgement. And to move through the pain that is stuck in the body from addiction and grief.
My second business was created in 2022 WithUCoaching and I created this business because I am a Registered Nurse since 2013. I have a strong passion to bring a more Holistic perspective to Nursing. To integrate mind, body, and spirit in a safe space where clients can feel open to express and look at traumas that may live in the body that are keeping them stuck. I have lived in unhealthy patterns that were keeping me stuck and causing me more stress. Now I realize that I can’t pour from an empty cup and have to take care of myself so that I am able to be present and available to others.
What goals do you have for your business in the future?
My goals are to expand and be able to reach as many people as I can to support them with integration and take action to reach their goals to thrive instead of surviving.
What is your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement is starting both of my business with so much gratitude.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge I have faced as a business owner is to not get discouraged and show up with messy action, not everything has to be perfect.
What advice would you give to a woman looking to start a business or get into a leadership role? Is there one thing that has helped you specifically?
The advice I would give to a woman starting a business is to keep a journal of all her successes. So that when she is having a challenging day she can reflect and see her progress.

Why do you feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women?
I feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women because we are here to help support and lift each other up. When one rises, we all rise.
If you could recommend one resource (book, podcast, quote, class, website, etc.), that has helped you in life or in business, what would it be and why?
Oh, there are so many…. I really love Louise Hay the author of You Can Heal Your Life.
